Digital
Sisters' technology social services are provided under three program
initiatives:
Digital
Resource Initiative
The resource initiative provides
information, resources and strategies to empower young girls and
women. It serves as a clearinghouse for educational, career related,
job opportunities and financial resources for girls, women and
families. This includes an online portal, email newsletter, and
reports that allows nation wide access for young girls, women,
educators, parents, gender equity supporters and community leaders.

Digital
Resource Program
Provides 24-hour access to
resources, news, events, classes and information for communities,
educators, leaders, parents, girls and women.
Digital
Support Initiative

Technical
Assistance
Provide support to community technology centers, in and out
of school programs and learning centers. Assisting to increase
the participation of girls and women’s participation
in programs, support a technologically social inclusive equitable
learning environment.

Technology
Donation Program
Technology donations are accepted from various corporate and
individual donors for program support. Donations include computers,
scanners, printers, cameras and other technological support
to Digital Sisters programs.

Volunteer
Network
Volunteers work as a team on various programs and organizational
projects. Volunteers work as mentors, are interviewees for
students, supervisors for interns. Volunteers work with staff
and organizational support onsite and virtually.

Mission
Based Technology Planning
Providing technology planning and curriculum development
that includes assessments on gender equity awareness and focus
on organizational missions.

and Educational Enrichment Initiative
Our education and training programs
are based on the our educational philosophy of technology empowerment
strategies and the issues that discourage girls and women from
finding the technology interesting and as an tool for daily living

Tech Clubs
Builds a cooperative, interactive and project based
learning environment to enable young girls to gain experiences
and develop various entry points to technology across disciplines.
Learning to use technology as a life skills tool.

Financial
Technology Literacy
Provides basic financial, economic literacy and
planning skills in a cooperative project based learning
environment utilizing technology.

Teen
Mom Program
To supplement the existing supportive environment
by providing teen mothers from diverse backgrounds with
tools, assist them in developing skills to become self-sufficient
parents and provide resources to support a healthy environment
for their children.

Techno
Activism Program
Develops creative programs that use technology
in ways that address the unique needs of social change organizations.
Technology enrichment classes offered to provide resources
and tools for activism and social change.

Working
Mothers Web Team
Providing a positive and creative environment where
working mothers from diverse backgrounds can learn basic
web development, strengthen their technology skills and
be confident in sharing their knowledge with their children.
