Volunteer Positions

We are very pleased that you are interested in volunteering with us. Many of the volunteer descriptions are listed here. If there is a volunteer experience that you are looking for that is not listed here please contact us.

We are happy to begin working with you as soon as possible. We have on site and virtual opportunities. Many of the positions are described below. Most of the documents are in portable document format (pdf). You should download the software Acrobat Reader for free if you don't already have it from Adobe.com. We use this format to transfer documents easily. Word documents are used occasionally.

Details

Flash Designers

To provide a splash page for the Digital Sisters website and to have various flash banners and images through out the site.

Grant Writing Assistant

Research and organize information from businesses, foundations and other relevant funding sources. To provide comprehensive and relevant resources for funding possibilities.
Graphic Designer/Layout Specialist To provide graphic layouts for Digital Sisters’ promotional materials and activities. To assist in developing a media kit. Design and layouts of various fliers, brochures and newsletters.
Internet Researcher Researching to provide resources, events, conference other information for the Digital Sisters website and newsletter.
Publicist/Public Relations

To assist Digital Sisters in promoting or publicizing the activities and events of the organization. To develop adequate media relations and database.

Virtual Volunteer Manager

To recruit and manage virtual volunteers for Digital Sisters. The manager will evaluate skills of potential volunteers with the needs of the organization and insure volunteers are being utilized properly. Virtual volunteers range in position from writer to web site promoter to publicist to assistants.

Web Development Instructor

To provide training to individuals for developing basic web development skills. To provide technology mentors and role models to interested beginners.

Web Site Promoters

Researching websites, search engines and relevant directories to submit listings of the Digital Sisters’ website and resources. The promoter will increase awareness of our organization on the Internet, in organizations and other relevant locations.
